Recap, 2025 Annual Meeting
Thanks to everyone who came out Sunday, Nov 9, 2025, for our annual neighborhood meeting in spite of the brisk weather and enjoyed some really good BBQ! We thank you for the desserts.
The election results are in: Scott Kramer, Craig Downs and Joseph Cardwell were re-elected to 2 year terms.
Our current slate of 2025-26 DRHOA Board members are:
Scott Kramer, President; Loleta Hammontree, Vice President; Craig Downs, Treasurer; Richard Ham, Michael Moore, Joseph Cardwell, James Loeffler; Participating Non-voting Board Member: Jackie Errico.
Mike Moore updated the group on options for the overabundance of deer but it was agreed that the primary option recommended by TN Dept of Natural Resources of paying someone to harvest the deer was not to be undertaken without serious consideration.
Kelly Sullivan and Ellen Aebig spoke about the grassroots effort to protect Enterprise South Nature Park (ESNP) from being converted to industrial use by County officials, and provided information of how we can help by signing the petition and providing feedback.
There was general discussion regarding renting properties in our neighborhood, which is prohibited by our Covenants. As someone attending stated, that information is available to all property owners and everyone purchased their home here with that understanding. A recent exception was made due to a homeowner being involved in a lawsuit which created circumstances that our attorney advised us fell within our provisions to grant an exception. (We have an agreement with an attorney specializing in real estate and HOA law who we utilize for advice.)
After a few more minor items of discussion, we adjourned to eat. Hopefully our 2026 meeting will be a little earlier in the fall.
